Title I, Part A

The purpose of Title I, Part A is to ensure that all students have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on state standards and assessments.   Title I resources are distributed to schools with the greatest need and in amounts sufficient to make a difference in the improvement of instruction.

The Title I, Part A grant is comprised of two sections:  individual school allocations and district level activities.

Dorchester School District Four currently serves five Title I schools:  Clay Hill Elementary, Harleyville Elementary School, Williams Memorial Elementary, Harleyville-Ridgeville Middle School, and St. George Middle School.
